When we first met Glynis at her home 6 weeks ago she knew she wanted to change her traditional garden shed and replace with something more dynamic/useful and somewhere to sit and read whilst enjoying the view of her lovely garden, but was unsure as to the size and appearance. As the first picture shows on the carousel below the shed was poorly positioned with a large dead space to the left, As we chatted Glynis also mentioned her Pizza oven and how she loved it but that it took up space on her patio. We suggested moving the pizza oven to the space beside the room and covering it with the overhang from the new room; this way we were able to return some of the patio to normal use and use part of the garden previously under used, we even suggested cladding the base to make it look in keeping with the room .
We also discussed how much glass Glynis wanted in her new space and where this would be best placed. Our simple grid system and 50cm increment sizing helped Glynis to understand the various options available. As with all of our clients we were more than happy to provide Glynis with some Computer aided design images (CAD) to help her visualise the concept.
Glynis really embraced the proposed design and didn't want any amendments to the first draft. During the build Glynis came to our workshop to have a look and discuss the finer details such as light fittings etc, and for reassurance that it wasn't to big!
We installed the room for Glynis in 6 hours helped by the generous supply of Bacon sandwiches!
Once the install was completed we mentioned to Glynis that as all of our rooms are different we had introduced a new way of identifying them by letting our clients name their room. Glynis chose "Arlo", the name of her Grandchild, what a great name and we will use this on marketing material and our website from now on.
Glynis kindly offered to write a review on our product and customer experience which I'm delighted to say is fantastic and is shown below in full.
"It was just five weeks ago that, after a discussion with my gardener, I decided to buy a garden room. He recommended Modular105 and, after a swift exchange of emails and a brief conversation with Paul, he visited my home just a few days later to talk about my ideas, what it was I wanted from the building, and to look at the space available to ensure it would complement the garden in which it was to sit.
That meeting was an eye opener for me as Paul's creative approach lead to me settling on a modular building from which I could enjoy my garden, regardless of what the weather threw at me. The concept arrived by email later that day and met exactly my specification - and more - with little personalised touches enhancing the product and making it truly a bespoke product.
From that point on I could not fault the company's approach. Communication was excellent, I was involved in each part of the project through to completion. Having the opportunity to visit for a coffee to see how things were progressing and feeling involved at each stage was just what I needed. Any queries I had were swiftly dealt with and it was clear that the company's aim was to ensure I was completely satisfied at each point in the process and that I was getting the building I wanted. As it took shape I could see that the quality of the product was second to none and as it was built it exceeded my expectations. It seemed like no time at all, indeed it was just five weeks from my first contact, that it was installed in my garden in just one day. It is quirky, stylish and practical and has made my garden accessible whatever the English weather may throw at me.
Looking back the customer service I received is only matched by the quality of the end product. Well done and thank you Paul, it was a pleasure to do business with you."
