Just a short note on our most recent project – a supercar garage.
We have been manufacturing the building at our workshop over the last month taking care to produce a high quality finish that is perfect from 360°. The final product is intended to provide safe and secure storage for 2 Morgan cars.
Due to the highly specific function of the building during the design phase it was important to take the cars specific sizes into account as well as allowing enough space to work on – or admire as is more likely – the cars.
The overall design is a bold modern structure that provides a clean contrast to the smooth lines of the Morgans.
There are several interesting features included within this building. The first of which is the Morgan logo affixed to the back wall. This was done using a pre cut vinyl sticker that was then stuck on with no room for error. We are very pleased with the overall result and are keen to experiment with their usage on future projects.
In addition to this we have built in several different storage options. The drawers at the back double up as workbenches and there are several layers of shelving running along the side of the building. Everything is fully adjustable and can be relocated or have it's height altered as is desired.
Another interesting aspect is the windows that were used. Teaming up with a local blinds specialist we have used windows that have the blinds built into them. This saves on the clutter and dust that come from using regular blinds and also adds to the streamlined look of the building.
The onsite build went very smoothy and due to the modular nature of our buildings the whole structure was completed within a single day. Following this the prefabricated roof was fitted as were the windows. Finally concrete foundations were built to secure the building in place.
This project has been a really fun one for us here at MOD105 as it has given us the opportunity to design a unique building as well as developing new decorative finishes.
