"It was just five weeks ago that, after a discussion with my gardener, I decided to buy a garden room. He recommended Modular105 and, after a swift exchange of emails and a brief conversation with Paul, he visited my home just a few days later to talk about my ideas, what it was I wanted from the building, and to look at the space available to ensure it would complement the garden in which it was to sit.
That meeting was an eye opener for me as Paul's creative approach lead to me settling on a modular building from which I could enjoy my garden, regardless of what the weather threw at me. The concept arrived by email later that day and met exactly my specification - and more - with little personalised touches enhancing the product and making it truly a bespoke product.
From that point on I could not fault the company's approach. Communication was excellent, I was involved in each part of the project through to completion. Having the opportunity to visit for a coffee to see how things were progressing and feeling involved at each stage was just what I needed. Any queries I had were swiftly dealt with and it was clear that the company's aim was to ensure I was completely satisfied at each point in the process and that I was getting the building I wanted. As it took shape I could see that the quality of the product was second to none and as it was built it exceeded my expectations. It seemed like no time at all, indeed it was just five weeks from my first contact, that it was installed in my garden in just one day. It is quirky, stylish and practical and has made my garden accessible whatever the English weather may throw at me.
Looking back the customer service I received is only matched by the quality of the end product. Well done and thank you Paul, it was a pleasure to do business with you."
We recently completed a room for a client that was used as a centre piece for a garden at the Bloom flower show in Dublin, Ireland. We had to consider that after the show the room was to relocated to a permanent location in Cork. We communicated with our client during the build via video link and regular email to ensure that everything was in order before we dismantled the room and delivered it to Ireland. The build took one day, but obviously we stayed for a while longer to enjoy Dublin !! . After the show our client was able to relocate the building themselves to Cork.
The garden went on to achieve a Silver Gilt medal.
Thank you very much again for designing, manufacturing and fitting our
new room. We are delighted with it and we congratulate you for the
imagination, skill and sheer hard work associated with the job.
Please pass on our thanks too to everyone else involved.
This is 2.5mx1.5m example room. It is perfect for a single person office space in the garden and comes fully insulated so can be used all year round. Go to Step by Step guide at the top of this page to start designing your own Mod space.
This is one of our most exciting projects to date. We manufactured a room for clients on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. It was designed to be used as an entertaining space looking out over the clients view of the bay.
Due to the flat packed nature of our product it was easy for us to ship it out to the island and then follow on to assemble the room.
Normally our doors would sit within a frame, in this instance because of the private location and the climate the client specified that the doors should look interesting, be able to be folded back and no track or fixing to be used on the deck flooring.
The room is used to sit in and look at the fantastic view and as the doors are normally open the whole deck area can be used to entertain.
On this project the client was unsure of whether the building would be used for the same functions in the future. To maintain flexibility we designed a movable internal dividing wall. This allows the space to be opened into one large room if desired without any damage to the overall structure or internal decorations.
We had to gain access through the house, a standard straight hall way, as there was no side gate.
This stand was built to display Former world champion John Surtees 1970 Formula one car the TS7.
This is a smaller garden office pod that demonstrates the flexibility of our panelling system. We erected it on top of a multi storey car park to show the ease with which it can be put up and taken back down.
Our stands at RHS Chelsea Flower show 2013and 2014 We exhibited both our garden rooms and vertical living walls.
We like working with others, for Chelsea we collaborated with a green roof company, and a manufacturer of florescent stones!
This is a more quirky take on our traditional modular building system. It is built at an angle whilst still using the same basic principles.
Our garden office
Just to thank you again for your terrific service. We particularly appreciate the care you took in helping us in the design process. This ensured that we got exactly what we wanted. Those visits to your workshop in the course of construction were particularlyhelpful.
The erection process was remarkable in itself: you arrived one morning last month and by 2 p.m. the building had suddenly appeared without mess or fuss, appearing as if to a magic wand. What is more, it is exactly what we were expecting.
We particularly appreciate it chic-ness. Its glass walls preserve our view of the falling countryside beyond the garden. We call it our “jewel.”
During the design process we use extensive, detailed computer renderings to help our clients visualise the final structure. It allows us to present our customers with different options and then make any alterations before construction begins. Shown here are a selection of different designs for a range of client commissions. These include a new high end garage shown from various angles and a home gym as well as initial designs for a double storey fully modular house!
For this room we have used polycarbonate in place of glass to demonstrate the wide range of materials that can be used in conjunction with our modular system.
We have also designed a door that slides along the length of the building and adds a splash of colour.
